FAQ

Short answers to common questions about City Protocol, its products and $CIT.

What is City Protocol?

City Protocol is building a universal marketplace for structured products that align with different risk profiles and investment goals. As of September 2026, it offers two products, Curated Vaults and Onchain Token Portfolios, and Venzo is the flagship application where users subscribe to both. New structured products join the marketplace as they are onboarded.

What is a Curated Vault?

A Curated Vault provides access to an institutional yield strategy. Deposits are pooled in a vault contract, a named curator runs one strategy inside a mandate that the contracts enforce, and participants hold Receipt Tokens priced at NAV per share. See Curated Vaults.

What is an Onchain Token Portfolio?

An Onchain Token Portfolio (OTP) is a published, rules-based model portfolio. One transaction buys the constituents at the methodology's weights into the participant's own onchain account, and the list changes only on a third-party public source or a published rule. See Onchain Token Portfolios.

Does City Protocol hold my OTP assets?

No. Every constituent sits in the participant's own smart account, owned by the participant's self-custodial wallet, and City Protocol never holds the owner key. City Protocol's automation signer carries out the participant's trades only within two scoped permissions that expire after 90 days, and it cannot withdraw or send assets to another address. See How OTPs work and the Technical overview.

Which OTPs are live?

As of September 2026, the Index OTPs on Venzo are the Magnificent Seven Index OTP on BNB Chain, powered by bStocks, and the Fantastic Four Index OTP and the Tesla–SpaceX Index OTP on Base, powered by Coinbase Tokenized Stocks. New portfolios join as they are onboarded, and Guru and Thematic OTPs arrive with the next phase. These Index OTPs are available only to eligible participants outside the United States and the other restricted jurisdictions listed in the Terms & Conditions, and OTPs are not offered to residents of the Republic of Korea unless authorized as required under Korean law.

How do I exit?

A Curated Vault position redeems through the vault's liquid or epoch-based settlement window, and a claim becomes payable once the vault holds the settlement assets for the whole epoch. An OTP exits in one transaction back to one asset, or any constituent can be sold on its own, at any time.

Who has audited City Protocol?

Zenith audited the Issuance & Operation Layer, Vault as a Service and Tokenization as a Service, with the report dated 25 June 2026, and all critical and high findings are resolved. Delta-Neutral Prime USD has been audited by 0x Macro, Pashov and Spearbit. The reports are on the Audits page.

What is $CIT?

$CIT is the native token of City Protocol, with a fixed supply of 10,000,000,000 minted on Ethereum mainnet. See Role of the token.

Do I need $CIT to use the products?

No. Every Curated Vault and OTP accepts eligible participants on the same terms whether or not they hold $CIT. See Token utility.

How do Polis Points work?

Polis Points are loyalty points that record eligible participation in City Protocol products through Venzo. They have no cash value and carry no entitlement or promise to receive $CIT or any other asset. Season 2 runs from 3 September to 30 October 2026. See the Polis Points guides.
